Summary of Copyrights and Art
Basically what the article is saying, is that if you are going to use someone elses material whether it is art in the form of photgraphy, paintings, drawings etc, and incorporate it into something of your own there are procedures you should follow. The safest way to follow the procedure is to check the works first and see if their is a copyright by going on the U.S. Copyright Office website. There are also three places you can choose items from 1)freeware,2)copyright material or 3)the public domain but you may still have to pay a fee to use them. The fees are there to make sure that the artist, or photographer recieves monies for their personal benefit of you using thier piece. Basically be careful in taking the credit of someone elses work and making it your own, or you could find yourself in legal matters, or having fines to pay in the end.
